The Secret of Free Travel
Date: 11/02/2005Hope you enjoyed the Postcard about Tallinn's ghost stories (see: Europe's Spookiest City) I sent three days ago. As I adore "the dark side" of cities, it was great to spend half the day walking around Estonia's capital accompanied by a private guide who specialized in legends (I could have shared many more spooky stories…but I didn't want you to have nightmares.)

Read OnThe Secret Language of the Souk
Date: 09/11/2006You are guaranteed to find something enticing to buy in the souks (markets) of Marrakech and Fez. Deep in the medina--whose streets are so narrow, goods can only be transported by donkey--there still exists a medieval world of craftsmen straight out of Arabian Nights.
Read OnThe Lazy Man's Guide to Being Your Own Boss
Date: 09/12/2006Yesterday, I told you about how to survive and thrive in the souks of Morocco. But maybe you don't have the time to travel to Morocco…or anywhere else on the other side of the world. Family commitments…job commitments…financial commitments. But don't use these things as an excuse for not getting started. You can still sell handmade goods from an exotic destination without ever having been there.
