Brazil Beach--My Top 5 Beach Property Picks
Date: 12/19/2008
Natal, along with the surrounding area on Brazil's coast, has a lot going for it: A still-hefty influx of foreign investment, beautiful beaches, and year-round beautiful weather. And with the newly-completed bridge from the northern beaches to Natal, Brazil, I told you about yesterday, some of the area’s best beach towns are now within 15 minutes of the fine dining, nightlife, and commerce of Natal itself…with prices that are proving to be a great beachfront opportunity.
A good example is the village of Jenipabu (sometimes called Genipabu).
I like this town, with its narrow, quiet streets, safe neighborhoods, fantastic beaches…and even an American-owned hotel. It has enough tourism to keep it clean, well-maintained, and with good amenities, but it is not overwhelmed with tourist traffic. And when compared to the towns south of Natal, the prices seem to be at almost “pre-bridge” levels.
In a new subdivision high on a hill overlooking Jenipabu, the ocean view lots (with almost no installed infrastructure) are going for just $6,300.
In the photo above, there’s a small B&B at the very end of the point for sale (which you can see in the left-middle section of the photo…you can zoom in on the Brazil beach photo here) with an asking price of just $84,000. On the same beach, just to the right off-camera, there’s a nine-room hotel for sale with a restaurant and bakery on the premises, for only $420,000.
On the same beach, a small, three-bedroom beachfront house with a view of Jenipabu’s giant landmark dune is on offer for $80,000…including the separate guest house.
In the village of Jenipabu itself, we saw a six-room house less than 30 meters from the beach on a notably large city lot of almost a half acre. On a quiet street in a nice neighborhood, the asking price was just $71,500.
If you are coming to IL’s Ultimate Event in March, I’d like to invite you to discuss the many opportunities on Brazil’s northeast coast at leisure…including some observations I’d rather not share here. I’ll be there all week, and look forward to seeing you.
