Where Are Canadians Living Abroad?

According to recent studies, 57 per cent of Canadians living abroad can be found in the United States, The United Kingdom, Australia, or Hong Kong.
Many of these are naturalized Canadians who are living in their countries of origin for one reason or another. But what about the other 43 percent? Where are they living?
If you spend any time traveling throughout Mexico, Central America, and South America, you’ll find out… many Canadians living abroad are soaking up the sunshine and savings south of the border.
Canadians Living Abroad in Mexico
From Baja Norte to the entrance to the Sea of Cortez, Canadians are hitting the beaches all along Mexico’s Baja Peninsula. Over on the mainland, you’ll find Canadians in favorite hotposts in Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, and all along the Pacific coast. In Mexico’s Central Highlands, Canadians can be found in San Miguel de Allende, Ajijic and Chapala, Patzcuaro, Queretaro, and other charming towns. Over on the Atlantic side, you’ll find Canadians living abroad in places like Merida, Progreso, Playa del Carmen, Isla Mujeres, Cozumel, Majajual, and anywhere there’s sun, sand, and fun.

Canadians Living Abroad in Belize
San Pedro is the main town of Ambergris Caye, the hub of activity in Northern Belize, and plenty of Canadians living abroad have made their home here due to the excellent fishing, beautiful beaches, and world-class diving and snorkeling. In fact, Canadians are living throughout this little country, in part because English is the national language, which makes doing business much more convenient.
