Thanksgiving in Ireland
Date: 11/27/2003Dear International Living Reader,
This is our fifth Thanksgiving celebrated in Ireland (home for me is Baltimore). Each year, we gear up for a U.S.-style celebration…without the US.
The Irish aren't big on pumpkin (can't find it anywhere, fresh or canned), the local greengrocer doesn't sell yams, and there's no football game to watch afterward.
Nevertheless…today, I'll sit down with family and friends, and we'll feast on Irish turkey…and I'm looking forward to it.
Our best wishes to you, wherever you're celebrating.
