Palermo Fest

Date: 08/07/2006

Childhood neighborhood of Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges, Palermo Viejo is in Palermo, one of the biggest areas in Buenos Aires. This eclectic neighborhood has now become bohemian central in B.A., with its 20th-century houses, and old trees and parks.

Palermo Viejo is a lively marketplace for contemporary design, collectibles, antiques, and furniture. No other neighborhood in Buenos Aires offers such a concentrated mix of unique shops carrying quirky items, brand-name products, and one-of-a-kind luxury goods.

One reason that Palermo Viejo is such a popular shopping destination is that you’re within a short walk from popular restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and tango houses.

In celebration of Palermo, the Palermo Fest Arts Festival will take place Oct. 14-28. We’ll have outdoor music performances, specially-commissioned plays, outdoor cinema, art exhibits in pubs, bars and art galleries, a design fair, open art classes, and neighborhood-wide promotions and discounts in all stores.
