Dear International Living Reader,
New Zealand's newest golf course, Cape Kidnappers, is now open for business. The 300-acre, 6,525-metre, par 7 course is beside some of Hawke's Bay's most scenic coastline. Brainchild of American billionaire Jason Robertson, Cape Kidnappers has usurped the course at Kaori Cliffs as the country's best. (For photos of each hole at Cape Kidnappers, see below.)
Green fees are NZ$400 (US$280) but until the end of February, you'll pay just NZ$200 (US$140).

P.S. This area of New Zealand got its name when, exploring the coast of New Zealand, Captain Cook anchored off a spectacular-looking cape and sent ashore an exploring party, hoping to find food. But it was the hostile Maori who found food, in the form of the cabin boy. "Cape Kidnappers" was duly entered on the map.
