Experts Agree: Now Is the Time to Buy Into This Industry
Dear Panama Insider,
What's the best way to grow your money by investing in Panama? Right now you can buy into an industry that's booming and yet desperately needs new competitors to satisfy the demand.
I'm talking about the hotel industry—and no, you don’t need to have your own hotel to take advantage of Panama's need for short-term accommodation. You can invest much less and reap the rewards simply by buying a condo hotel unit.

Dear Panama Insider,
What's your idea of a perfect day? Imagine waking up to the sound of gently rolling waves. The view from your window is a burst of color…the turquoise and indigo-striped water, red and yellow-breasted tropical birds, the deep green of the jungle growth. Maybe you start the day with a walk down the tree-lined malecon (boardwalk), or make a run to the local bakery for fresh-baked cinnamon buns. Later on, you stop by the fish market to shop for lunch or pick fresh mangos and avocados from your fruit-laden trees. You spend most of your day outside, swimming or playing tennis or golf.

Dear Panama Insider,
Some media sources are reporting that, due to a new law, you won't be able to visit Panama without a yellow fever vaccination certificate. That's not exactly true. The law applies only to travelers coming from or going to certain countries. This is not a new thing—the Panama government has in the past required the certificate for travel to and from "potential risk" countries, such as Brazil.
Until now, the list of risk countries was pretty short. Now, the Panama government says it will require the certificate for travel to and from every country listed as a "yellow fever transmission country" by the World Health Organization (WHO). That's over 40 countries. For a list, visit the Panama Ministry of Health website.
In general, if you are traveling to or from Central America, North America, or Europe, you won't need the vaccination.

Picture a place where rolling hills sprout lush greenery and flowering patches as far as the eye can see. A place where cool mornings bring a fine mist and afternoons smell of grass and sunshine. Now picture yourself in this place, taking in the view and clean mountain air. You’re using the high-speed Internet at a cozy café and sipping a steaming mug of the world’s best coffee...it’s like a small town in Colorado, but with no chance of snow.

Dear Panama Insider,
Of all the new real estate projects in Panama today, perhaps the most novel is an “eco-project” unlike any other in the country. It’s based on an idea that’s not new in North America and Europe, but unheard of in Panama. Called Utopia Village Farm Community, this project is a working farm that provides owners with fresh organic produce and even the possible opportunity to make money.
