International Living's online publication, Mexico Insider, is starting its fourth year. Over the last three years, Editors Suzan Haskins and Dan Prescher have explored many destinations in Mexico on behalf of Mexico Insider readers. They've reported on well-known vacation and retirement destinations like Puerto Vallarta, Lake Chapala and Mazatlan, and countless lesser-known gems like Merida and Costa Maya. Slowly but surely, the rest of the world is finally starting to see Mexico not only as an amazing vacation destination, but also as a potential home.
Suzan was recently interviewed by Janet Luhrs, author of a newsletter called Simple Living. Janet started Simple Living in the early 1990s to help readers prioritize their lives, streamline their social and work calendars, get their finances in order; organize their homes by reducing clutter, and proactively care for their physical and emotional health. Simple Living has grown to be the premier newsletter on the topic of "simplifying," inspiring readers to achieve their dreams and live the pleasurable, stress-free lives they've always wanted.
Janet has prioritized her life so well that she has the means to pursue her true passion-travel. She most enjoys traveling to out-of-the-way places to observe the lifestyles of local people-and always reports on her findings in Simple Living.
Janet most recently vacationed in Sayulita, Mexico, and writes about her colorful adventures in the August issue of Simple Living-including her run-in with some wild horses one morning while eating breakfast. She also shares the story of Tamara Bode, a woman who left her hectic life in Idaho to open a holistic spa in San Pancho, Mexico.
Not surprisingly, Janet fell so in love with Mexico that she was very tempted to purchase some property near where she was staying. Instead of jumping the gun, though, she decided to first talk to Suzan to learn the ins and outs of living and buying real estate in Mexico. Janet also spoke with Brian O'Sullivan, director of marketing for International Living, and shefeatured parts of these conversations in her newsletter. She has kindly agreed to share her August issue of Simple Living with you. Read the entire issue here - and maybe, you, too, will be convinced to make the move to Mexico.
Best Regards,
