How We Almost Lost One At Iguana Golf & Beach Resort in Nicaragua

Date: 06/06/2007

I want to tell you a short story about how we almost lost an International Living events employee at Iguana Golf & Beach Resort in Nicaragua.

Or more correctly… how we almost lost him to Iguana Golf & Beach Resort.

Eric Stapp, a strapping young U.S. Midwesterner, works for the International Living Events staff based in Panama. Last year he was working a Live & Prosper in Nicaragua conference and went along on the optional real estate tour afterward.

On the second day of the optional tour, the group stopped as usual at Iguana Golf & Beach Resort.

The first thing Eric noticed was the raging surf break…one of the best in Nicaragua. That got his attention right away.

Then he and the group saw the new golf course going in. That was two for two in Eric's book. Surfing and golf, two of his favorite things…he was hearing the call pretty strongly.

Then the group visited the Iguana condos and town homes under construction. Not only did Eric notice that they are some of the best-constructed buildings on the Nicaraguan coast, but the prices knocked his socks off.

Two- and three-bedroom condos, overlooking the golf course, with their own swimming pool and social area, starting at just $169,500.

And at 1,151 square feet and up, plenty of room. If a guy wanted to go in on a unit with a buddy or two, there'd be plenty of room, and they could even use it at different times of the year.

Not only that…but also on the golf course, 1,460 square foot, two-story town homes built around their own pool and palapa area start at just $184,275.

Not only that…but there's a new commercial center right on the property with a store, business center, restaurant, and café.

Eric was thinking hard now. Surfing. Golf. Perfect weather. A choice of high-quality condos or town homes at incredibly low prices. On-site services.

Not only that…but a financing option that would let him lock down the unit of his choice, on the spot, for 20 percent.

The tour was ending. The bus was leaving. Eric was thinking. Deeply.

Fortunately for International Living, Eric got back on the bus that day. He decided he needed the job more than he needed Paradise at that point in his young life. But it was touch-and-go for a minute.

And he still talks about Iguana.

That's why I'm sending you this letter today. Everything that tempted Eric is still there at Iguana Golf & Beach Resort.

However, the first two of three planned condo blocks have sold out since Eric was there. Likewise, nearly all the first two of three planned clusters of town homes have already been claimed at Iguana.

Only one more block of condos and one more cluster of town homes remain.

In fact, I hope Eric doesn't see this letter, because it might just cause him to decide to follow his dream this time and get one of those condos or town homes before they're sold out.

And the International Living Events crew would lose a good man.

And I'd be to blame.

Oh, well. What can I do? I have to let you and International Living's other First Alert readers know about the remaining Iguana Golf & Beach Resort units before they're gone.

Find out more about Iguana Golf & Beach Resort and to lock down one of their remaining condos or town homes.

And do it before Eric does. Please.
