An Inside Buy in Puerto Vallarta

One of the best things about our job is the inside information it allows us to be privy to related to real estate here in Mexico.
We hear about properties that have just come on the market...sometimes about properties before they're officially even for sale.
Last week, for example, a friend (who also happens to be one of Mexico's best realtors) in Puerto Vallarta (one of Mexico's best places to live or spend time) sent us this:
"Hi, guys, I don't have great photos of this property, but, believe me, these are absolutely gorgeous condos with really great views of the bay. And wait until I tell you the prices. These are a buy."
We've done lots of research on Puerto Vallarta, and we are seriously entertaining the idea of investing in a condo there ourselves that we can use for rental income. We believe we'd be able to keep it rented most of the year, as demand for this type of property in Puerto Vallarta is strong. The most desirable areas in Puerto Vallarta…both for rentals and for year-round living…are Amapas and Conchas Chinas, just south of downtown. Here, condos and villas start at the water's edge and stretch up to the top of the Sierra Madre Mountains. The views are jaw-dropping. And that's where these condos our friend wrote to tell us about last week are located.
Franklin (our friend) reports that these condos, located in an eight-floor building in the Amapas/Conchas Chinas area, have incredible views and are just a 10- to15-minute walk from the two most popular beaches in Puerto Vallarta--Conchas Chinas and Los Muertos.
The building offers common area parking (first-come, first-served). Each unit has marble floors and central air conditioning.
Prices? This is the best part. Studios start at $65,000 (only two available). On the sixth floor, one-bedroom/one-bath units start at $109,000 and go to $159,000, and two-bedroom two-bath units start at $135,000 and go to $205,000. A three-bedroom, three-bath penthouse that takes up a full top floor (with spectacular 180-degree views) is available for $825,000. And get this: Each of these is being sold fully furnished.
