The Easiest And Most Profitable Route To Panamanian Residency
Robert Kroesen, owner and manager, with a partner, of United Nature, a large teak plantation in the Darien region of Panama, also spoke this morning. We learned that a teak reforestation investment visa is one of the easiest ways to establish residency in Panama...with an eye toward second citizenship.
There are six ways to obtain a residency visa for Panama. One of the most straightforward is the Forestry Investor Visa. You invest $40,000 with an accredited reforestation company in the country, and, in return, you receive 3.2 acres of land (titled in your name) planted with teak trees...and an Investor's Visa, which, after five years, makes you eligible to apply for a Panamanian passport.
Many groups offer Forestry Investor Visas tied to investments in teak plantations. One stands out as most appealing: United Nature, for a couple of reasons. First, they've been in business for more than 10 years. Second, they give you title to the land your trees are planted on. In other words, you don't get 3.2 acres worth of trees at harvest time...you own 3.2 acres planted with teak.

Breakfast In Panama... Lunch In Nicaragua!
Nicaragua real estate professionals and exhibitors sponsored today's luncheon. Gail Geerling, a real estate consultant in Nicaragua, welcomed the hungry guests. For many it was their first introduction to the country. After Gail's presentation, people realized that Panama is not their only offshore option.

The question is: 'Isn't there a war in Nicaragua?' (Normally followed by 'Aren't you scared living there?')

But Gail says, 'I don't sell Nicaragua for money. I do it because I love Nicaragua.'
Six Great Deals In Nicaragua

** Rancho Santana--The most advanced and prestigious beach development in Nicaragua offers large 1-acre ocean view lots $40,000 in its newest phase, Bella Vista.
** Gran Pacifica--Located less than an hour from Managua, this is the most ambitious resort development in Nicaragua today. A full-blown 5-star resort center is on the drawing boards. Lots start as low as $35,000, and for only $129,000 you get a fully furnished three-bedroom home. All you need to bring is your suitcase and toothbrush.
** Iguana Golf Condominiums -- This is currently the only golf course condo development offered in Nicaragua. One-bedroom units are selling for $159,000. Sorry, all of the $129,000 units sold at the conference. This project is officially endorsed by the Danish embassy.
