Who Would Want to Live in a Former U.S. Military Area?

The Clayton district of Panama City is a largely unspoiled former U.S. military area, remitted to Panama at the end of the Canal treaty. It’s now one of the most pristine and valuable areas left in the city precincts.

Please don’t misunderstand. When I say “former U.S. military area”…you might think (as I must admit, I thought before I saw for myself), “What? A former U.S. military area? Who would want to live there?”

The military is gone, as you know…and the land we’re talking about, which coincidentally at one time was part of the military base, isn’t in any way military. This is beautiful countryside. Hilly and lush, with a private situation and broad views. All this within minutes of downtown Panama City.

One of Panama’s premier development companies has secured a major piece of this property for a real estate project. And they are now releasing the first pre-construction offers for condos, apartments, and homes in this one-of-a-kind Panama City enclave.

Embassy Club will be a sophisticated residential development designed to provide a luxurious, amenity-filled country lifestyle within Panama City itself. Twenty of Embassy Club’s 60 acres are set aside as green area, and three styles of homes (courtyard condos, garden apartments, and single-family homes) have been carefully incorporated into this wooded landscape to take full advantage of the natural beauty of the land.

The homes are built from a wide variety of plans of your choice, and are nestled in the wooded countryside of Embassy Club. These single-family homes are sized from 3,724 square feet and up, from $423,000. A reservation deposit of $5,000 secures a pre-construction unit, but only 10 of these units are included in the pre-construction offer.

The developer won’t…actually can’t…say what the top price for any of these units will eventually be. The market in Panama, especially for such a unique project, is just too hot to make predictions about. But one thing is for sure--once these units are spoken for, these prices will never be seen again at Embassy Club.
