Spain gets more accessible

Date: 08/27/2007

Europe's largest low-cost airline that inspires either love or hate, Ryanair, is expected to expand its routes from Spain this fall, making the sunny country even more accessible to the rest of Europe.

As of October 28, weekly flights from Charleroi Brussels, Belgium to Barajas Madrid, Spain will be increased from four to 14; annual passenger numbers on this route are expected to rise to 200,000. Flights between Madrid and Liverpool, Frankfurt, and the Sardinian towns of Cagliari and Alghero are also to be introduced. Two domestic flights linking the Spanish capital with Gerona and Santander airports in the north are to be launched in October.

By reserving at least one month in advance, traveling to Spain from other European cities is cheaper than ever before. And if you're attending our Live and Prosper in Europe conference, you'll be pleased to hear that other low-cost airlines Air Europa, Iberia, Spanair, and Vueling already provide regular fights to the capital from Barcelona.
