International Living Postcards-- Saturday Edition
Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006
In the world's hottest markets, you need to be prepared to act quickly.
I'm not suggesting you should decide today to buy an apartment in, say, Buenos Aires…then, without further consideration or research, proceed immediately with a purchase.
What I am saying is that you need to identify those markets that interest you, arrange your contacts, understand the market dynamics and prospects, research the process of purchase and the potential pitfalls…and then begin looking for a particular piece of property to buy.
Yes, I just described my full-time occupation…and the reason, I hope, you read these Postcards.
Sometimes, in these Saturday Editions, I help you identify a particular piece of property you may consider buying. But usually I merely recommend a general market (by city, country, or region). What, then, should you do?
You need to identify the particular market best-suited to your circumstances (how much money you want to spend…how much risk you're ready to take…what kind of property you want to own…and how you want to own it).
To help you with this, we've put together a new report, available free to you as a reader of these Postcards.
This little report is recommended reading, an invaluable checklist, covering everything we think you need to know before you buy property abroad.
We call it How to Manage Your Overseas Property. Read it online in html format here or in pdf format here.
