A Secret Learned on a Spanish Island
Date: 04/29/2004Thursday, April 29, 2004
Dear Reader,
The Spanish island of Mallorca is Europe's favorite weekend destination. I'm able to visit often--for free--thanks to a running apartment-swap arrangement with friends here and in Moscow, Cairo, Prague, Zurich, Melbourne, and Venice.
I don't have any Spanish travel tips for you. You'll easily find those elsewhere online.
But I have learned something during my trips to Mallorca that you won't read about anywhere--either online or in print.
With almost 5,000 kilometers of coastline, no other nation in Europe gets more wind than Spain. During the 1990s, Spain struggled with a huge rise in energy consumption and building nuclear power plants wasn't an option for a country that lives off its image as an unspoiled tourist destination. Turning a problem into an opportunity, Spain succeeded in harnessing wind to produce electricity.
Thirty years ago wind energy was merely the dream of tree-huggers, but recent advances in technology have turned wind energy into a serious alternative energy source; it's now cheaper than conventional power sources (coal, gas, and nuclear power), and the U.S. Department of Energy recently stated that "wind energy is poised to become our least expensive form of bulk electricity generation."
What I learned on Mallorca sparked my interest and I researched the entire wind energy sector. I discovered a little known company, one of the world market leaders in the wind energy business. This company is the most profitable in the industry and is poised to multiply in size during the next few years.
It's about to break into the U.S. market and is currently negotiating with several U.S. states. In the wind energy industry Europeans are way ahead of their U.S. competitors. Now, despite being virtually unknown even among European investors, this company is listed on the U.S. stock market and can be traded just as easily as any U.S. share.
I've put together a free report on wind energy and this company--poised to earn you 515% to 1,030%--for International Living readers. You can read it here: The Best-kept Secret in the Energy Secret Today.
