Eric's Boss is Either Very Generous or Drunk…But You Win Either Way

Date: 08/22/2007

I meant to send you this note yesterday, but I was distracted by Hurricane Dean. Thankfully, as you read in the alert I sent yesterday, he has been gentle with Mexico's Yucatán peninsula. I will update you later today about his progress.

On Monday, I wrote to remind you that the Early Bird discount for International Living's upcoming Live and Prosper in Mexico seminar will expire on Thursday. After that time, you will pay full price should you decide to join us in Puerto Vallarta September 23-25 for our Live and Prosper in Mexico seminar.

As I mentioned, it is very likely that this will be the last time we host a conference of this type in Puerto Vallarta-not because we don't love Vallarta, but because we want to give readers a look at other Mexico destinations in 2008.

There are many reasons, though, that we've been hosting this conference in Vallarta for five years now. The awe-inspiring sunsets and general feeling of "ahhh" is one of the biggest, though, so if you'd like to join us here, in one of the most beautiful beach resort towns in the world-hands down- we want you to have that opportunity.

As I also mentioned yesterday, our events team has a special offer for International Living VIP members, Mexico Insiders, Mexico First Alerts, and Events E-Letter readers. When you join us at the seminar in Puerto Vallarta next month, they will foot the bill for your first night's stay at the Fiesta Americana Hotel, where the conference is being held. It doesn't get much better than this, folks. If you can't relax and let your hair down at this spectacular place, there's not much hope for you.

On Sunday night-the first night of the seminar-we'll all be kicking back at one of Puerto Vallarta's best local restaurants. I don't want to give away the location yet, as negotiations are still under way and we have three top contenders. (There are far too many fabulous restaurants in PV to choose from.) But I can say that it will be one of Vallarta's best. We're planning to go there for an optional group dinner…but…

Events Coordinator Eric Stapp has just informed me that his boss is having a good week…a very good week. Either that, or he's been inebriated since the weekend and doesn't remember that he told Eric to throw in the price of this dinner for conference attendees.

So let's review: Come to our seminar and stay for free your first night. Along with the regular cocktail party and other freebies, you also get dinner (on International Living) at a very fine (and fun) Vallarta restaurant. It's possible that if you keep holding out, Eric's boss may just stick a lampshade on his head and say "what the heck" and give away the entire conference for free, but I doubt it. (And certainly cooler heads prevail…in our accounting department.)

So if I were you, I'd sign up now. Remember, if you are a Mexico Insider subscriber, you get an additional $100 off your registration fee…on top of any other discounts you may be eligible for and on top of the Early Bird discount, which expires Thursday. So dust off your clicking finger andclick here now to learn more.

Hasta pronto,

Suzan Haskins
