While the Cat's Away…Let's Play
Date: 08/22/2007
Suzan Haskins is all wet…in more ways than one. While she's distracted and trying to dry off after getting drenched by Hurricane Dean over there in the Yucatán, I've coerced… er… persuaded her assistant to allow me to write to you today.
I'm Eric Stapp's boss. Earlier today, Suzan wrote you with what I feel were some pretty disparaging remarks about me.
She hinted that it might be "inebriation" that drove me to sign a check for dinner in Vallarta for our conference attendees there next month. In my defense, I can only say "I resemble that remark."
All kidding aside, ask Suzan how she got through the hurricane. When I spoke with her Monday she was on her way to stock up on cheap red wine and SPAM. Yeah, she actually eats that stuff…
To set the record straight, (and to Suzan's credit-she did get a few things correct) this will be our last conference in Puerto Vallarta for a long, long time. We all have fond memories of Vallarta, and I want to make sure this conference is extra special for everyone who attends. That's why I've offered to take everyone to dinner on Sunday night at a very fun and fine Vallarta restaurant. And why we've offered to pay for the first night's stay at the Fiesta Americana Hotel, where the conference is being held.
My intentions are purely altruistic, and for Suzan to even suggest anything else is an insult to my character. Yes, I've been known to do the Mexican hat dance after tree many martoonis on occasion, but this time I am all business.
So here's the deal:
Come to our Live and Prosper in Mexico seminar in Puerto Vallarta September 23-25 (and stay longer for optional free real estate tours). We'll throw in your first night's hotel stay at the Fiesta American hotel where the conference is being held. We'll take you to dinner at a great restaurant. And along the way, we'll give you a bunch of free cocktails and other stuff. (You knew there would be some partying involved, didn't you?)
If you are a Mexico Insider subscriber, you get an additional $100 off your registration fee…and if you register by tomorrow, when the Early Bird discount expires, you can save another $100 per person.
The way I see it, if you are interested in learning how to make a new life in Mexico, you can't afford not to come to this event. Find out all about it here.
And by the way, I cannot remember ever having a lampshade on my head.
Soberly yours,
Eric Stapp's boss
(name withheld for obvious reasons)
P.S. While Suzan's sitting over there in the Yucatán, washing town SPAM sandwiches with tumblers of warm vino tinto, I'm going to throw in one more offer…when you call us and register for the seminar in Puerto Vallarta, just say the word "tequila" to our telephone representative and receive a free bottle of one of Mexico's finest tequilas when you come to our seminar. Let's party in Vallarty!
